Working from Home

One very nice thing about working in the Internet Era is the ability to work from home. I'm taking advantage of that myself, today, because of a combination of a sick child, waiting for the UPS man, and a need to get some undistracted time to work on projects.
I'm a big believer in telecommuting. In fact, all of our Express Feedback survey administrators work out of their homes--there's no physical call center. It isn't for everyone, but if you can do it, telecommuting is less expensive, better for the environment, and far less stressful.
As I write this blog entry, I'm sitting in a comfy chair with a toasty fire going in the wood stove, having burned only the tiniest bit of fossil fuels all day (at least, compared to my usual routine). I'm also getting to drink hazelnut-flavored coffee, a treat I don't get to indulge at the office since it disgusts the other VocaLabs coffee drinker.
Ah, the good life.
