Holding our Breath

This Thanksgiving, all of us at VocaLabs are hoping to have something to be truly thankful for.

David Leppik, the man responsible for developing the bulk of our behind-the-scenes software, has a two month old son Ian. Last week Ian was checked into the hospital with difficulty breathing.

It turns out than Ian has a growth in his windpipe which is blocking the air. We're told that this is a rare condition, but relatively easy to correct with surgery. "Easy," of course, does not mean "risk-free."

The surgery is scheduled for this afternoon. If all goes well, Ian should be home in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family on Saturday. We should know by dinnertime tonight whether or not the surgery was a success.
