One recurring horror story is trying to cancel service from AOL.
Here's a rant from one frustrated former customer, (alternate link) with a difference: he recorded the call (alternate audio link).
AOL probably thinks they can "save" a few customers by making them jump through the extra hoops, but really, all they're doing is contributing to their reputation for poor service.
