Julie has a cameo

National Public Radio ran a segment on Morning Edition yesterday about speech recognition technology. Amtrak's Julie made a brief cameo for the predictable this-stuff-doesn't-quite-work-yet moment.
The story is reasonably well balanced, though perhaps with less emphasis on customer service applications than I would have chosen. Scansoft's PR agency deserves kudos for this excellent placement.
