Yesterday I posted a long article about how smart Apple and Cingular are to have Apple provide all the support for the new iPhone. Apple having a reputation for stellar customer service, while Cingular is, well, otherwise.

Turns out that the account I was relying on of Steve Jobs' presentation was mistaken. An article in today's Wall Street Journal states that Cingular, not Apple, will be supporting the phone.

So if you read my article from yesterday, just think of it as an alternate-reality thought experiment about how smart Apple would have been if they had decided to cut Cingular out of the loop for customer service.
