Oh, Those Wacky Airlines

This maybe isn't directly related to customer service (or surveys for that matter), but this is just too weird to not pass on.

Apparently American Airlines thinks it doesn't have enough women travelers. So they're launching a new website just for women. Featuring a simplified search box. And pink.

And travel tips like "Never travel without a shawl, it has multiple uses. It can be used as a blanket on the plane and you can use it as a fashionable wrap when you go to meetings or out for the night."

Or "Always bring a little black dress to wear with those heels. Fold it in thirds, roll it as tightly as you can, and place it in the smallest Ziploc bag you can. You may not wear it this trip, or the next, but one of these days, you'll be sitting next to that Japanese violinist who just happens to have an extra ticket to her sold-out performance one evening, and you will need it."

Aside from the fairly sexist view, let's be realistic. Most of us are glad to merely survive the flight with sanity (and luggage) intact. Meeting a Japanese violinist is one of those things which only happens in movies or airline promotional videos.
